Living Arts Systems currently serves as the project manager for Cochetopa Biomass Energy out of Saguache, CO. This project is about developing electricity, heat, and biochar from the forest by-product residues from Mountain Valley Lumber. The electricity would be for grid-tied irrigation and mill operations, the heat is for commercial greenhouses, and the biochar will be included as an agricultural amendment in the Colorado Natural Compost line to both stimulate optimal soil processes and promote genuine carbon sequestration. This project, once realized, will be a true Renewable Energy Park where multiple businesses, technologies, and processes will be co-generating with each other and thus providing many different products and job opportunities.
